Since neither JD nor I make any money from any of the time or effort we put into COWC, we are unfortunately forced to temporarily pause all COWC activity in order to adequately handle our respective numerous affairs for the time being. We will be back. Stay tuned. Peace!!

COWC Logo Image Contest

Central Ohio Writers Collective needs a logo image. Sure, J.D. or I could whip something up in Photoshop pretty quickly, but what fun would that be? We would rather engage our burgeoning membership with the opportunity to go down in history (OK that may be a stretch)...to go down in COWC history (better) as the artist/graphic designer responsible for our COWC logo image. Entries may be submitted starting immediately. The winner of the COWC Logo Image Contest will receive, drum roll... Two Free Drinks of his/her choice at the COWC Kick Off Party on July 13th at Barley's Pub downtown!

Logo Contest Parameters and Instructions:
Image must involve a cow and our name, Central Ohio Writers Collective (at the very least our Acronym, COWC)
Image must be a .jpg or .gif file formatted for convenient use as an online logo image for various websites: LinkedIn, MySpace, craigslist.org and so on. Entries must be sent via email to centralohiowriterscollective@gmail.com
By submitting logo image(s) for this contest participants agree to relinquish all rights to said image(s) to Central Ohio Writers Collective and its proprietors, J.D. and Brad.

REGULAR, RECURRING COWC EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

Online Public Review
Writers are encouraged to submit poetry and short works to us at centralohiowriterscollective@gmail.com in the form of .doc, .rtf, or .txt files. We will then post to the COWC blog every submission that is not obviously spam, hateful, rife with grammar and spelling errors etc. No editing of submitted works will will take place whatsoever. However, it will be necessary for us to altar formatting of submitted works in order to post them to the COWC blog successfully.

After being published in the official, copyright protected COWC blog, everyone in the entire world will be able to read and comment on your submitted works. Then, ideally, you will receive some insightful constructive feedback on your work which can help you to improve and develop as a writer. It's a beautiful thing!

Invited Review
Respectable Teachers, Schollars, Writers etc from the Central Ohio community will be invited to read and review/critique selected works submitted to us by Central Ohio writers. Writers interested in this event are encouraged to submit works of any length and in any style/genre to us via email attachment at centralohiowriterscollective@gmail.com in the form of .doc, .rtf, or .txt files. Be sure to indicate that the submission is for Invited Review in your subject heading. These submissions and reviews will not be posted to the COWC blog. We, your COWC hosts, will put our own works on display in the COWC blog now and then for public review and commentary. Check the archives for currently posted works and please, feel free to comment on and question our works liberally. We value the feedback.
